In a significant stride towards gender diversity, ten of the twelve startups selected for the Techstars Tech Central Sydney Accelerator’s 2024 cohort are led by women.

Powered by the NSW Government, this year’s program highlights female founders driving innovation across industries like healthtech, AI, fashion, and SaaS.

These women-led ventures are poised to make a meaningful impact in their respective fields, underscoring the growing role of women in the startup ecosystem.

The 13-week accelerator, which kicked off in September, will connect these visionary founders with over 70 mentors, helping them refine their business strategies and scale their solutions.

Fiona Triaca, co-founder of Heatseeker discloses that this unlocks even more opportunities for to focus on building the greatest product and experience for customers at Heatseeker.

Kirstin Hunter, Managing Director of Techstars Sydney, noted, “We are looking for diverse and unstoppable founders who are using technology to solve the world’s biggest problems, and using their businesses to make the world a better place.”

From empowering women through AI companions to transforming customer experiences and revolutionizing sustainable fashion, the cohort represents a dynamic mix of innovation and social impact.

The 12 startups in the Techstars Tech Central Sydney Accelerator 2024 include:

Gether: AI-powered assistant app that helps parents manage family mental load (gether.life).

Heatseeker: AI-driven platform for rapid market testing (heatseeker.ai).

Jaimee: An AI companion for women, addressing the gender data gap (jaimee.ai).
